Dale Squire is a hip, quirky, independent single gal living in the glossy city of Los Angeles. After several failed attempts in quasi-relationships, Dale concludes that finding a meaningful relationship in L.A. is impossible. But being anti-social is tough for any young girl in Hollywood. With Jill's frantic wedding right around the corner, Dale finds herself reflecting on the significance of marriage, and the mutual respect needed for a successful relationship. When Zach, a successful heartthrob rock star and old friend of Dale's finds his way back into her life, Dale slowly starts to think that maybe finding love in L.A. is possible - the only problem is that her realization might have come too late, leaving Dale in a silent love triangle, with no way out. Slightly Single in LA

After a series of boyfriends all who turned out not to be who they seemed Dale Squire (Lacey Chabert) relocates to L.A. although still finds romance a road full of pitfalls and so comes to the decision that being single might be easier. But when her friend Jill (Haylie Duff) announces she is getting married it leads to Dale reflecting on how difficult it is to find a meaningful relationship in LA. But just as she thinks it is impossible Zach (Kip Pardue) re-enters her life, a rock star she knew before he became a star and realises that maybe he is the one although it may be too late due to others who are interested in him.
What this all boils down to is that despite it starring Lacey Chabert and a host of other familiar faces "Slightly Single in L.A." is a poor movie and one which has the ability to be more annoying than finger nails being scraped down a black board. Maybe there are those who will enjoy the trials and tribulations of being a single woman in L.A. but I imagine most will find this hard work.

We have developed shape-controlled langasite-type piezoelectric crystals by a micro-pulling-down (µ-PD) method [7,8,9,10,11]. The µ-PD method can control a shape of grown crystal using a special-shaped crucible [12] while conventional methods such as Czochralski (Cz), Bridgman-Stockbarger (BS), Floating Zone (FZ) and Flux methods cannot grow shape-controlled crystals. By the µ-PD method with special-shaped Pt crucibles, columnar, plate and tube-shaped langasite-type crystals have been grown and the shape-controlled langasite-type crystals were comparable in crystal quality and piezoelectric properties to CNGS crystals which were grown by Cz method. The near-net-shape growth of single crystal enables us to make piezoelectric elements with a configuration of final device element for each application and it can decrease costs of forming processes such as cutting and polishing after crystal growth. In addition, the µ-PD method can grow a single crystal with approximately 10 times faster growth rate than the conventional methods and it is also suitable for the material research of single crystal.
Hormonal responses following single doses of the racemic drug d,l-fenfluramine have been used as an index of central 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) function. We wished to evaluate normal responses to d-fenfluramine, which is more specific at stimulating 5-HT pathways. Twelve healthy volunteers were given 30 mg oral d-fenfluramine and placebo in a randomized single-blind crossover design. Following d-fenfluramine there was a rise in plasma prolactin, but no ACTH response. Cortisol levels did not rise above baseline values, but d-fenfluramine diminished the circadian fall in cortisol output, and cortisol levels were slightly higher after d-fenfluramine than after placebo. Unlike d,l-fenfluramine, d-fenfluramine is not a potent stimulus for ACTH and cortisol release. Hormonal responses following d-fenfluramine provide a more accurate assessment of the functional integrity of central 5-HT activity.
Laparo-endoscopic single-site adrenalectomy (LESS-A) is commonly performed using specialized access devices and/or instruments. We report a LESS-A in a 47-year-old woman with a left aldosteranoma via a subcostal approach utilizing conventional laparoscopic ports and instruments. The feasibility and cost-effectiveness of this approach are highlighted and the literature on the subject is reviewed.
The percentage of positive tests announced Thursday is down slightly from Wednesday's 8% positive tests, which Department of Health Services secretary designee Andrea Palm called a good sign. The percentage of positive tests is one metric state health officials are watching to determine when the state could begin to reopen under Evers' former stay-at-home order.
As of Friday, April 16, 2021, the County reported administering nearly 5.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine, including more than 1.9 million second doses, and 136,232 single doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Outdoor dining restrictions have been slightly loosened in that members from up to three different households may now be seated together at the same table in the outdoor dining area. Maximum capacity at one table is six people.
Theaters must utilize timed and/or advanced reservation ticketing systems and pre-assigned seating in order to stagger customer visits, limit occupancy and help maintain physical distancing. Patrons must remain in their vehicle until their reservation time and must be instructed to arrive and leave in a single group to minimize contact with other visitors and staff.
Andeimalva peruviana Dorr & C.Romero, sp. nov., the third Peruvian endemic in a small genus of five species, is described and illustrated from a single collection made at high elevation on the eastern slopes of the Andes. Molecular phylogenetic analyses of nuclear ribosomal ITS sequence data resolve a group of northern species of Andeimalva found in Bolivia and Peru from the morphologically very different southern A. chilensis. The new species bears the largest flowers of any Andeimalva and is compared with Bolivian A. mandonii. A revised key to the genus is presented.
More specifically, if we look at the average number of one-unit home permits granted monthly from the beginning of 1988 (the start of the available data) through the end of 2005, when the housing market started to show signs of slowing down, we would expect about 1,800 permits per month for single family houses and 900 for multi-unit houses. But from the start of 2006 through October 2017, the average number of monthly permits for single family houses was 890 and 430 for multi-unit houses. While the number of single family unit permits has been slowly increasing since the end of the Great Recession, the increase is at a rate of only about 5.7 units per month. At this pace of recovery, it will take several years for the rate of new housing construction to reach historic levels.
In Wisconsin, 17.9% of owner-occupied households face housing stress, which is slightly lower than the national average. The four counties with the highest levels of stress include Vilas (25.6%), Burnett (25.0%), Juneau (23.3%) and Polk (23.0%), which all tend to be high amenity counties with a relatively high share of the housing stock that is recreational. The higher values in recreational counties could be a function of retirees with lower reported incomes, but significant assets, having high value homes. However, the demand for second homes and retirement properties in these counties also places pressure on housing costs for other residents as well.
In Wisconsin, 36.6% of renting households spend more than 35% of household income on gross rent. Again, this value is slightly below the national level, but more than one in three Wisconsin renters could be described as being housing stressed. The highest level of rental stress is in Milwaukee County (45.1%), followed by Portage County (41.1%), Langlade County (40.8%) and Kenosha County (40.8%). The four counties with the lowest levels of rental stress are Florence (18.9%), Clark (21.4%), Green Lake (22.5%) and Lafayette (22.6%). It is clear from these four highest and lowest stressed counties, and the spatial patterns across Wisconsin revealed in Figure 5, that rental market stress is neither just an urban or rural problem, nor driven completely by low incomes. 2ff7e9595c
